Alethia is a registered Danish healthcare provider supervised by the Danish Patient Safety Authority (Styrelsen for Patientsikkerhed) and operates in accordance with Sundhedsstyrelsen's clinical guidelines. We assess and treat:

- **ADHD and ADD** (adults). Diagnostic assessment with DIVA-5, the diagnostic interview recommended by Sundhedsstyrelsen.
- **Autism** (adults). Assessment using clinical interview, AAA or autism anamnestic interview (clinician's choice), and ADOS-2 observation when indicated. Neuroaffirming approach, experienced with autism in women and late-diagnosed adults.
- **Combined ADHD + autism** (AuDHD). Assessed together when both are suspected. The two conditions co-occur frequently in adults presenting for assessment, with overlapping features in attention, social communication, and executive function.
- **Anxiety disorders**: generalised anxiety, social anxiety, panic, health anxiety. Treatment with CBT, exposure work, mindfulness-based approaches.
- **Depression**: including major depression and persistent depressive disorder (dysthymia). Differential with burnout (udbrændthed) and ADHD-related demoralisation. Treatment includes psychotherapy and, when indicated, medication.
- **Trauma**: PTSD, complex PTSD. CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy; Markus Lien is CPT-certified) and trauma-focused psychodynamic therapy. Trauma symptoms can mimic ADHD; careful differential matters.
- **Personality**: assessment of personality structure and personality disorders. Differential against mood disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, and trauma.
- **Psychotherapy** for the conditions above, short-term or long-term.
- **Psychoeducation**: structured sessions about a diagnosis, daily-life strategies, and how to involve family.
- **Medication management**: psychiatrist on staff. No separate referral needed; medication is handled by the same team.

Healthcare services are VAT-exempt (momsfritaget). Listed prices are full. Weekend surcharge of 500 DKK/hour applies to psychologist services on weekends; the psychiatrist is available at the standard weekday rate, no surcharge.

## How the assessment works

Every new client starts at Step 1.

1. **Clinical interview and screening** (~2 hours, 3,200 DKK). A structured first session that reviews your symptoms, life history, family history, lifestyle, prior treatment, and a comprehensive screening for other psychiatric conditions (anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep, eating, psychosis, autism, attention). When clinically indicated, the clinician may request a relevant self-report instrument (e.g. ASRS, RAADS-R, CAT-Q) ahead of the interview.
2. **Diagnostic assessment with DIVA-5** (~2 hours, 3,500 DKK). A semi-structured diagnostic interview going through all DSM-5 ADHD criteria for current functioning and childhood. We strongly recommend a relative who knew you as a child attends, since DSM-5 requires symptom onset before age 12. Assessment can proceed without an informant when none is available.
3. **Feedback session with epicrisis** (1 + 1 hour, 3,000 DKK). Review of all findings, written diagnostic report with conclusion and recommendations, and psychoeducation. Treatment plan with sequencing if comorbidities were identified.
4. **Medical treatment** with the psychiatrist. First consultation ~1 hour (2,700 DKK), includes somatic and cardiovascular screening, medication selection, and a titration plan. Then 2–3 follow-up consultations of ~30 min each (1,200 DKK per follow-up) over 4–8 weeks.
5. **Therapy and follow-up**. Psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and combined treatment (medication + therapy) as indicated, 1,250 DKK per session.

## Online sessions

Yes. Therapy, medication adjustment, follow-ups, and most assessment sessions can be done online. We prefer the initial clinical interview and the first psychiatric consultation to take place in person at the clinic. Online sessions are available for clients throughout Denmark and for Danish expats abroad.

## Referrals and insurance

You do **not** need a GP referral. You can book directly online or contact us. We are registered with Sygeforsikring Danmark (groups 1, 2, 5, 6); members aged 25 or under with a GP referral may be eligible for a partial refund on assessment and psychotherapy (not medication). Refund amounts vary. Consult Sygeforsikring Danmark directly.
